This course teaches first responders such as paramedics, ambulance crews, and firefighters, the latest strategies for safe response to an active shooter incident. Topics covered will include an overview of scope of problem, case studies of past events, training suggestions, and suggestions for developing a comprehensive response strategy that involves collaboration with local law enforcement. The instructor will also discuss the new “Warm Zone” response protocol for EMS.
