What do you do at NDSC?
As the Information Manager, my role is to sift through the trove of information available in multiple systems and find the useful patterns and create reports to be shared with those who need specific information. With a background that includes sales, marketing and web platforms, I have a unique perspective on what data would be useful and what new systems or processes might be helpful.

Why is NDSC’s mission to prevent injuries and save lives important to you?
I’ve witnessed first-hand the attitude of business owners who think safety is something they have to do, rather than something that they want to do. Focusing on not getting fined is not the correct approach to protecting employees and customers.

What are your hobbies?
Fishing, Kayaking, remodeling and console gaming

What other talents do you have?
I’m a hard core do-it-yourselfer but mostly do taping/texturing, painting and flooring installs.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?
Italy, for a month or two so I could get a feel for the lifestyle rather than just being a tourist. The food, the history and the weather all sound like something I’d enjoy.

Biggest pet peeve?
Public bathrooms where you can’t get out without grabbing the dirty door handle with your now-clean hands

What animal most closely matches your personality?
Let’s go with a horse – they rarely complain about their environment, don’t mind working long days, and prefer being around people one at a time.

What store would you pick to max out your credit card?
It’s already happened at Menards, so probably Cabela’s

What is your favorite movie, book and TV show?

Movie – Any action flick with gunfire and explosions

Book – ‘The Cotton Malone’ series from Steve Berry – it made me see history very differently than my public education taught.

TV show – ‘Designated Survivor’, about the struggles of an honest man trying to survive in the White House, rebuilding a country after entrenched leadership was wiped out.
