What do you do at NDSC?
I work in the marketing department as NDSC’s Graphic Designer. Most of my workload entails making things look pretty. I also help out in marketing as needed…setting up booths, planning our conference, taking photographs and more. In between actual work, I try to squeeze in office hijinx and other shenanigans.
Why is NDSC’s mission to prevent injuries and save lives important to you?
It’s pretty cool working for a company where the work you are doing can indirectly help save someone’s life.
What are your hobbies?
I’m a HUGE movie and music buff. I’m a regular at the movie theater and own more DVDs than any normal person should. I’m a big concert junkie and have seen hundreds of performers, including, unabashedly…Britney Spears. I also love to shoot hoops and golf very poorly.
What other talents do you have?
In addition to being a graphic designer, I’m also a traditional artist. I do everything from watercolor paintings and acrylics, to comic book art. I also make a pretty mean omelet.
Who would play you in a movie?
Brad Pitt is clearly the obvious choice. We’re practically twins.
What’s on your bucket list?
Assembling the world’s largest bucket collection. Kidding. I’d love to see a concert at Red Rocks, or see my favorite band, U2, perform in their native Ireland.
What is your favorite movie, book and TV show?
I love so many movies, but if I have to name one I’ll go with ‘Pulp Fiction’. Favorite book would probably be one about Michael Jordan. Although ‘Charlotte’s Web’ is a deep, fascinating read, full of drama and complex narrative. Favorite TV show of all time by far is ‘24’. I was/am obsessed with that show. Kiefer Sutherland kicked terrorist butt and is the hero we all need.
Biggest pet peeve?
By far, it’s people who talk and text in theaters during movies.
If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
I’d eliminate racism. And lutefisk.
